REMOTE HEAD SELECTION / CONFIGURATION
1. Remote head MUST be the same voltage as the fixture battery.
2. Total watts of fixture + remote heads MUST not exceed battery capacity.
Example: The HTBE-7-U-12-42 Emergency Light is a 12V fixture with 14W of lights onboard and a battery with 42W of capacity @ 90min runtime. Therefore, the remote head capacity is:
Remote Head Voltage Must Be: 12V
Total remote head wattage must not exceed: 28W
(42W battery – 14W fixture)
Recommendation: While the rules above define the maximum allowable wattage of attached remote heads, it is a good idea to not exceed 80% of the battery wattage in the interest of longer battery run-times ensuring a 90 minute minimum run time as the batteries age.
See specification sheet for product ordering selection, mounting options, weights and dimensions.
